Faculty of Pharmacy, a constituent college of Sri Ramachandra University, started in 1993, has taken rapid strides in the last one decade. Nestled among the splendid greenery in the campus that stretches in 150 acres of land, the college has been providing a perfect ambience for the pursuit of excellence in Pharmacy Education and Research. It is located in an exclusive 3 storeyed building in 40, 000 sq.ft.and the building is well planned so as to meet the requirements of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.
The University offers the 4 year (8 semesters) undergraduate B. Pharmacy degree with an intake of 60 students, 6 years Pharm.D (Doctorate in Pharmacy) with an intake of 30 students, 3 years Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) with an intake of 10 students and a 2 year (4 semester) post graduate with an intake of 10 students. M. Pharmacy degree in four branches, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutics, Quality Assurance and Pharmacognosy with an intake of 10 per branch. The B.Pharmacy course is approved by All India Council for Technical Education & Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi ( vide No:32-140/2006PCI/2480-81 dated 09-05-2008 for the period of approval 2011-2012) and the M.Pharmacy course by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.( vide No :730-52-004(P)/ET/97 dated 23-05-2008 for the period of approval 2008-2011). The Pharm.D and Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) is approved by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. (vide No: 50-140/2008- PCI- 2431-32 dated 1st May 2009).
Apart from their regular schedule the faculty engage themselves in research as it is reflected in the publications in reputed journals, presentation in conferences, undertaking Government funded projects, consultancy, delivering programs in media and in workshop and symposium.
