      The SIVET College of Arts & Science was established in 1966. It is a co-educational institution of repute which offers courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Business Administration .The College was formally inaugurated by Late Thiru S.A.Ayyasamy Chettiar, M.A.B.L., His Excellency the SOUTH INDIA VANIAR EDUCATION TRUST was formed.       List of facilities available at SIVET College, Chennai for students.

      The Library of S.I.V.E.T. College promotes sharing of resources by collecting, storing and disseminating information. It offers computerized services to the users. Institutions of higher education have the main responsibilities of equipping students, researchers and faculty with advanced knowledge and skills. Well equipped and managed library is an essential prerequisite to achieve this. In particular, scientific research needs a library as well as its laboratories. S.I.V.E.T. College Library undertakes many responsibilities and performs various functions. It plays a vital role in the university education and research by providing invaluable resource of knowledge.
      Our College has got well equipped & well furnished laboratories on subjects like Chemistry, Zoology, Physics, Biochemistry & Computer laboratories towards development and nurturing the technical skills of the students.
      Sports facilities are available in the campus. Annual Sports event is held in the month of December in every year
      Good transportation facilities for its students, staff members and visiting guests.
      Salem N.Parvathiammal Memorial Women s Hostel was constructed through the aids from UGC and Management in the year 2011. The prime motive is to primarily cater to the needs of the Women students from economical backward students. Other women students are also allowed to utilize this facility.

      The Women s Hostel is built with one plus two floors inside the campus. Each floor has 14 rooms, two toilets on the either end of the floors. The living experience is redefined by CCTV Cameras, both Indian and Western closets, two fans in each room, with a backup Generator and security staff round the clock. The Hostel warden strictly abides by the rules and regulations in vogue.
      Proper healthcare arrangements are done by college. Proper Medical Facilities are available
      24-hours internet access for all. Wi-Fi for all
      The college houses many computer labs. There are more than 180 computers only for the use of students.
      It has a Computer laboratory in first floor of the Main building for the use of Undergraduate students. Beside Two Computer laboratories, one in the second floor of the Main building and other in the Ground floor of the M.B.A and M.C.A Block, cater to the modern needs of Post Graduate students. The Computer lab consists of advanced systems with new configuration and is up-to-date with new soft wares.
      A Computer centre is also provided for the students. Internet network facility is available in the computer centre for the student references. It has 20 computers with an updated configuration.
