About Salesian Institute of Graphic Arts SIGA, Chennai

SIGA Polytechnic College is an unaided Christian minority Institution affiliated to the Tamil Nadu State Board of Technical Education and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. SIGA was established in 1952, with just 20 students and a couple of old machines at Basin Bridge in North Chennai. Sixteen years later, it was shifted to its present campus on Taylors Road in Kilpauk, in 1973. SIGA received Government recognition and was affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education. In the year 2003, SIGA received the AICTE approval.

As an institute of Printing Technology, SIGA has indeed made its mark in the field of Technical education in the country. Now its more than 50 years, it stands as one of the finest institutes of printing technology in India, with sate-of-the-art technology and a committed faculty. The saga of the growth abd development of this institutions over the past half a century is as inspiring as it is fascinating.
