National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chennai NIFT is a renowned fashion school in South India that was established in 1995. The institute offers UG, PG, Diploma and PG Diploma courses in various specialisations related to design and fashion industry. NIFTC, Chennai offers 9 courses across 2 streams namely Design, Engineering and across 4 degrees like BDes, BFTech, MEd, MFM.Hostel facility is available for its students. NIFT, Chennai offers BDes, BFTech at undergraduate level; MFM. and MFTech at the postgraduate level. Apart from the regular courses, the institute also offers diploma and continuing education certificate courses in fashion management and technology.

Applicants who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board are considered eligible to apply for BFTech. Admission BFTech is done on the basis of valid score in GAT General Ability Test.

Admission to B.Des is done on the basis of valid score in CAT Creative Ability Test, GAT General Ability Test, followed by Selection test.

Admission to MFM and MFTech is done on the basis of valid score in GAT General Ability Test, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

For PG Diploma course, candidates must have passed 10+2/Intermediate with any degree to be eligible. Admission for diploma and continuing education certificate courses is based on the merit cum personal interview.

5 percent seats are reserved for Persons with disability Horizontal reservation for PwD, 40% or more disability across all sections SC, ST, OBC, and General.
