About Govt Technical Training Centre, Chennai
Government Technical Training Centre was started during 1962 as per G.O.Ms.No.1506 Industries Special Dated 14.03.1961 with following five courses to provide Technical Training to cater the need of Industries in Tamil Nadu;The wood working trade was discontinued from 01.01.1965 and Die Designing Course was converted into post Diploma Course from 1972 to as per G.O.Ms.No.1062 Industries Special dated 23.06.19972 and affiliated to Board of Technical Education. All the other three courses were combined and converted into single Diploma Course namely Diploma in Tool Engineering in 1981 and subsequently affiliated to Board of Technical Education.
