Dr M.G.R. Engineering College is situated in the city limits and is well connected by public transport system. The college was founded in the year 1988 and posses some of the most modern laboratories in Information technology and microprocessor systems, CAD/CAM, Chemical Technology and other departments. The staff member in computer science, electronics and ICE departments are well qualified and have industrial exprience of high caliber. A centre for excellence in electronics and information Technology has been established in our institution to carryout research on various aspects which will be in demand for years to come. The library contains recent books and journals in the field of engineering. The staff carry out all research activities on topics of relevance like damage processing, cnc machines, low cost housing etc.
