Chennai Institute of Indirect Taxes (CIIT), founded in 1995, aims at educating, up-dating and up-grading the Trade in matters relating to Customs, Central Excise, Exim Policy, FERA etc. A well informed businessman succeeds in tax planning and safeguards his business interests by avoiding delays and harassments and thus enjoys a better life. This will also ensure a better relationship between the government agencies and the Trade and thus will accelerate the Nation's march to strength and vitality. CIIT strives to achieve these goals by: Providing quick consultancy facility on the related subjects even through fax and e-mail. Publishing a tabloid, Talk of the Trade, which helps in up-dating and up-grading information on the related subjects, Carrying out studies and giving suggestions to regulatory agencies for improving the efficiency in Trade-related activities, and by Conducting regular classes and seminars. ensure a better relationship between the government agencies and the Trade and thus will accelerate the Nation's march to strength and vitality. We conduct 3 months' full time course in Customs for the unemployed graduates. This is to meet the high demand of trained graduates in matters relating to export and import, with special emphasis to Customs. Practical training is part of this course. We offer 12 weeks' courses in Customs on Saturday afternoons at our Institute's A/C hall in Besant Nagar and Correspondence Courses in (i) Customs (ii) Central Excise We offer to give you weekly lessons through post, covering all aspects of law and procedures relating to (i) Customs and (ii) Central Excise. Weekly objective type tests - Contact classes - Final examination at the Institute - Certificates to successful candidates - Contact for Prospectus: We also offer 2 days' courses in Customs and Central Excise in Chennai and elsewhere for those who cannot attend the 12 weeks' Saturday classes.
