BHAASKARA is the dream child of the Dhananjayans - the dance couple. A dream that has been nurtured through the years, a dream nearing fructifying and when done, opens up an arena for inculcation of values and culture to the future generation. The Dhananjayans during their lifetime assimilated artistic style, tradition and values from various masters & gurus, and have created a niche for themselves in their chosen field. Today with Bhaaskara, they hope to share with the world at large, the rich heritage they have accumulated over the years. Every form of art will be taught to the students, but apart from the academic curriculum, the surroundings, environment is all aimed at giving the future generation a wholesome appreciation of art along with understanding of traditional values, nature, beauty .....
BHAASKARA will be located on, a small hillock in the vicinity of an ancient Shiva temple with a 'Swayambhulingam'. The area is flush with coconut trees, cashew grove, little rivulets, breath-taking sun rises and sun sets. This is not too far from the famed Payyanur, legendary Subramania temple consecrated by the powerful warrior God Parasurama. This area has given birth to great names in Ayurveda, Jothisham (Astrology), Sanskrit and Art. BHAASKARA centre hopes to resurrect all the lost glories of education and values of this area.

Foundation stone was laid for Bhaaskara buildings by an illustrious person, no less than a man of integrity Sri T.N. Seshan, Ex- Chief Election Commissioner, on 15th April 1999.
BHAASKARA will offer full time and part time, Kathakali (in memory of the great kathakali legendary Guru Sri. T.K.Chanduppanikkar), Bharathanatyam, Carnatic music (both vocal and instrumental), Painting, Sculpture and allied arts courses. The best of Gurus (teachers) will be in the faculty to inspire and to create an aura of divinity in the campus. The campus will vibrate with the sound of music. BHAASKARA will also be a place for reviving the dying crafts of Kerala. There is a plan to build a craft village in the premises. Crafts like the making of Kathakali crowns and other Kerala handicrafts like bronze statues, wood carvings and temple jewellery, musical instruments for dance and music will be promoted in due course with other collaborators interested in the field.
