Sainik School Rewari Admissions

Sainik School Rewari Admission will be done on the basis of All India Sainik Schools Entrance (AISSEE) Examination.

Interview and Medical Examination

Only the candidates notified in the merit list of the Written Test will be called for the Interview and Medical Examination. The interview will be conducted at Sainik School Rewari. Merely qualifying the interview/medical examination does not confer any right to admission in Sainik Schools.

Scholarship

Only those students of Haryana domicile, other than students of sc/st categories, who score 70% or above pass marks in aggregate and not less than 60% pass marks in each subject in their previous final examination, shall be eligible for grant of the scholarship.

Students of sc/st categories of Haryana domicile, who score 60% pass marks and not less than 50% pass marks in their previous examination shall only be eligible for grant of the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria: Admission to Sainik School Rewari is offered to boys only (no provision for girls) in class VI & IX. The candidates born between 2nd Jul 2008 and 1st Jul 2009 (both days inclusive) are eligible for admission to class VI and boys born between 2nd Jul 2005 and 1st Jul 2006 (both days inclusive) for admission to class IX.

Reservation: 15% and 7 ½ % seats are reserved for SC & ST candidates respectively.  Out of the remaining, 67 % of the seats will be reserved for the home state. Balance 33% left over seats will be thrown open to boys from other states and UT in the ration of their male population. 25% seats are also reserved for the boys of service personal including ex-servicemen.

Application forms filled are to be submitted duly filled to this office along with registration fee.

Note– The Candidates should note that AISSEE registration will be done ONLINE. No offline registration for any school will be done this year.

Application fee :

• Rs. 400/- for General Category by Cash and Rs. 450/- by Post.
• Rs. 400/- for Defence Category by Cash and Rs. 450/- by Post.
• Rs. 250/- for SC/ST Category by Cash and Rs. 300/- by Post.

After filling complete application candidates have to take the printout of online application form along with requisite DD  the same can be submitted to the school.

Syllabus

This year All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) has been changed over from descriptive exam to OMR Based exam. The pattern of the questions papers for both class VI & IX  is given below

Note:

(i)    Though there will only be one OMR answer sheet for the entire paper. Question paper on Intelligence will be handed over to the candidate only after a gap of two hours after commencement of the exam. For this, an information booklet containing sample OMR sheets is enclosed.  The medium of examination for both VI & IX will be English or Hindi. The question paper for class VI will be in English or Hindi. But the question papers for class IX will be in English only. Approximately 105 boys will be admitted to Class VI and 20 boys to class IX in session 2019-20.

(ii)     Only those boys who obtain qualifying marks and have fared high in the merit list in the written test will be called for interview and medical examination at a later date.

(iv)  The school does not patronize or affiliate any coaching institute/agent and admissions will be done strictly on the basis of merit in the Entrance Examination and subject to medical fitness of the candidates.

Exam Centre

Written exam of All Indian Sainik School Entrance Exam for Sainik School Rewari will be conducted at different government/public school located in Rewari.

Result

Sainik School Rewari has published the result for the Entrance examination. The candidates are selected to appear for the Medical Test and Interview.
