About
Sainik School Purulia (West Bengal) is one of the 24 Sainik Schools in the country and the only English medium residential public school in the state of West Bengal. It was established in the year 1962 under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence for the benefit of the comparatively weaker sections of the society and for the removal of regional imbalances in the officer’s cadres of Defence Services in India. Applications were invited for admission in class VI & IX for Boys only for the session 2019-20.

Sainik School Purulia Admission 2019 will be done on the basis of All India Sainik Schools Entrance (AISSEE) Examination.
Eligibility Criteria
Class VI – Born between 01 April 2007 and 31 March 2009 for the session 2019-20 (both days inclusive)
Class IX – Born between 01 April 2004 and 31 March 2006 and passed class VIII exam from a recognized school at the time of admission. (both days inclusive)
Exam Details

Selection Process
The selection process of the examination is based on three processes first being the entrance examination after the declaration of result merit list are the second step to selection for the students this follows with a medical examination.

- For SC/ST Candidates – Rs.250 + 40= Rs. 290

- For General Candidates – By Cash Rs.400
- For SC/ST Candidates – Rs.250

Candidates willing to take the examination can fill in the application form which is available online one can visit the official website and register themselves to fill the application form.
Note– The Candidates should note that AISSEE 2019-20 registration is done ONLINE. No offline registration for any school will be done this year
