About
Aim – The primary aim of Sainik Schools is to prepare boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into the National Defence Academy. The other objectives of Sainik Schools are:-
- To remove regional imbalance in the officer cadre of the Defence Services.
- To develop qualities of body, mind and character enabling the young boys of today to become good and useful citizens of tomorrow.
- To bring public school education within the reach of the common man
Sainik School Punglwa has released the result for admission to Class VI and Class IX for boys only through All India Sainik School Entrance Examination.

Sainik School Punglwa Admission 2019 will be on the basis of All India Sainik Schools Entrance (AISSEE) Examination.
Qualifying Standards for Class VI and Class IX.
For General and Defence candidates, the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination are as follows:
- 25% marks in each paper.
- 40% marks in aggregate.
For SC/ST candidates there is no qualifying passing minimum mark. Candidates shall be selected based on their ranking in the merit list.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for admission to Class VI:-
- Candidate should be born between 02 July 2008 and 01 Jul 2009.
- Domicile of Arunachal Pradesh: Born between 02 July 2007 and 01 July 2008.

How to apply
Online Registration
A candidate may opt to apply online by clicking the link that has been provided on the school web portal www.sainikschoolpunglwa.nic.in. The registration is to be completed by filling the data online and prescribed fee is to be deposited through net banking. On completion of registration, a printout of the application form along with necessary documents as mentioned at para 26 is to be submitted in person or by post at the address given below.

Note– The Candidates should note that AISSEE 2019-20 registration will be done ONLINE. No offline registration for any school will be done this year
Application Fee
Prospectus cum application form may be obtained on payment as under:-
- For General and Defence Category: Rs. 400/- by hand and Rs. 500/- by post.
- For Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe: Rs. 250/- by hand and Rs. 350/- by post.
Syllabus
The entrance exam shall be based on the syllabus up to Class V and Class VIII for the candidates appearing for Class VI and Class IX respectively. The exam shall be based on multiple choice questions in which the correct option is to mark in blue/black ballpoint pen on the OMR answer sheet provided to the candidates. Please note pencil is not to be used for marking in the OMR answer sheet.
The entrance exam shall cover the following topics with the breakdown given as under:
In addition to the above marks, 50 marks have been kept aside for the interviews.
Result
Roll numbers of the candidates shortlisted in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination 2019-20 for admission to classes VI & IX in Sainik School Punglwa for the academic session 2019-20 has been declared. The shortlisted candidates are required to appear before Medical Examination and Interview Boards at the Military Hospital, Danapur Cantonment.
