the Application process is over of Sainik School Kazhakootam for Class VI and Class IX for boys only through All India Sainik School Entrance Examination which has been conducted on 06 January 2019. Admission is confined to classes VI & IX for boys only. The standard of the Entrance Examination would be equivalent to that of Standard Vand VIII (CB SE) respectively.

Aim: The Sainik Schools were established from 1961, with the primary aim of preparing boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into the Officer cadre of the Armed Forces.

Sainik School Kazhakootam Admission 2019 will be done on the basis of All India Sainik Schools Entrance (AISSEE) Examination.

Eligibility Criteria

Age:

For Admission to class VI: Boys who are not under ten years or over eleven years of age as on 1 July of the year of admission. (Between April 01, 2007 – March 31, 2009) (both days inclusive).

For admission to class IX: Boys who are not under thirteen years or over fourteen years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission and studying in class VIIIth in a recognised school. (Born between April 01, 2004 – March 31, 2006 (both days inclusive)

How to apply

Online application form can be filled up on the link provided in the school website. AISSEE 2019-20 registration will be done ONLINE. No offline registration for any school will be done this year. Application forms duly completed in all respect should reach The Principal Sainik School Kazhakootam, Sainik School PO, Dist Thiruvananthapuram 695 585 on or before its last date.

Candidates who are applying for Entrance Exam by obtaining it from school, have to submit duly filled application form along with following documents

Note: Candidates are instructed that AISSEE 2019-20 registration will be done ONLINE. No offline registration for any school will be done this year

• A passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 m) photograph should be neatly affixed and duly attested by the Headmaster of the school last attended / Gazetted Officer, in the space on the application form and the identification certificate.
• Scheduled Caste / Tribe candidates should forward caste certificate obtained from Tahsildar along with the application form. Parents/guardians must also submit a copy of the certificate from the Registrar of births and death duly attested by the Principal / Headmaster of the school to prove the date of birth. Class IX candidates should get a certificate from the school stating the class in which he is studying at present along with the certificate of Date of Birth without fail.

Link to check the same is also be given below for the sake of the candidates. Sainik School Kazhakootam has released the merit list for the candidates shortlisted for interview and medical exam, based on the performance in the written exam. The shortlisted candidates will be required to appear before Medical Examination and Interview Boards.
