Applications were invited for admissions to Class VI and Class IX for boys only through All India Sainik School Entrance Examination which was held on January 06, 2019. The primary aim of the School is to prepare boys academically, physically and psychologically for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA). A sound character, esprit-de-corps, dedication, patriotic outlook and desire to serve the country are the qualities which Sainik Schools seek to promote.

Eligibility Criteria
For Class VI: 10 to 11 years as on 01 July 2019 i.e born between 02 July 2008 and 01 July 2009 (Both days inclusive).
For Class IX: 13 to 14 years as on 01 July 2019 i.e born between 02 July 2005 and 01 July 2006 (Both days inclusive).

Reservation
Allocation of seats – Punjab Domiciles – 67% and other States – 33%
Reservation of seats – Sainik School Kapurthala caters mainly for boys of Punjab and Chandigarh. 25% for Defence/Ex-Defence personnel, 15% for SC and 7 ½ ST. Balance seats are for General Category.

Fees (a Yearly increase of 5-10%).

Scholarships
Scholarships awarded by
- Govt of Punjab to the domicile of Punjab based on parents income.
- Ministry of Defence to the children of Defence/ExDefence personnel.
- Subsidy by Ministry of Defence approximately Rs.15,000/- per annum for all cadets

Note– The Candidates should note that AISSEE 2019-20 registration will be done ONLINE. No offline registration for any school will be done this year
