Admission is made once in a year in Class VI only through the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination. The admission notice has been announced on the official website. 

Sainik School Chhingchhip Admission will be done on the basis of the All India Sainik Schools Entrance (AISSEE) Examination.

Exam Centre

Examination Centres for the Entrance Examination will be as follows:

  • Aizawl Centre (for Aizawl, Champhai, Mamit & Kolasib Districts): Government HSS, Aizawl
  • Serchhip Centre (for Serchhip District): Government HSS, Serchhip
  • Lunglei Centre (for Lunglei, Lawngtlai & Siaha Districts): Government HSS, Lunglei.

Note- Candidates should note that registration will be done ONLINE. No offline registration for any school will be done this year.

Reservation

Reservation

(i) 15% of the total seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 7 ½% seats for Scheduled Tribes.

(ii) Out of the remaining, 67% of the seats will be reserved for boys from the State in which the Sainik Schools is located. Balance 33% left over of seats will be thrown open to boys from other States and Union Territories in the ration of their male population. Any unutilised seats in this category will be merged with home State seats.

(iii) 25% seats are reserved for children of service personnel including Ex-servicemen.
