Eligibility Criteria
For admission into Class VI of the OAV, the child must have successfully completed or be currently enrolled in Class V at a recognized institution/school within the respective block. If the child resides in the block but attends a school outside the block for Class V, they are still eligible to apply, provided they can furnish a residential certificate.
Children who have completed their education at schools operating under the State Government, ICSE, CBSE, or Odia Medium Private Institutions are eligible for admission to Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas. However, this is contingent upon the institution possessing a Certificate of Recognition (CoR) from the State Government.
Admission Procedure
Admission to classes VI in OAVs will be conducted through an entrance test supervised directly by the Principals of the OAVs.
OAVS will solicit applications from eligible students for admission into Adarsha Vidyalayas for class VI for the current year. Required documents include: (a) Birth certificate. (b) Current class enrollment confirmation from the respective school's Head Master. (c) Residential certificate from the relevant Sarpanch/Councilor/Corporator/Competent authority.
An entrance test will be held for admission to Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas, with venues selected and notified periodically. The Principal/Principal in Charge will inform candidates about the date and venue of the entrance test.
Following the test, answer papers will be assessed by a team of subject teachers under the direct supervision of the District Education Officer (DEO) or Principal.
Upon completion of the test, the Common Mark List (CML) for all candidates will be published on the district website.

- Language of Question Paper – The question paper is in language Odia & English.
