Kanikkamatha Convent English Medium Girls Higher Secondary School is one of the most prestigious educational institution in Palakkad. The school is running under the effective patronage of the Congregation of the Mother of Carmel (CMC Sisters). Having started in 1961 after days of ceaseless prayers, the school took its shape in a small shed in the district of Palakkad.
The Institution came into being at a time when Palakkad was much backward in the educational field. Taking this into consideration, to give the people of Palakkad the fruits of knowledge and wisdom the sisters took a bold step forward with ‘Love and Dedication’ as their motto. The school celebrated its Golden jubilee in the year 2011. In its long run the school has undergone tremendous change incorporating all new waves in the educational field.
