Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Supaul was established in the year 1987 in accordance with the National Policy of Education 1986. It is fully residential, Co-educational school affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi having classes from VIth to XII standard. The Vidyalaya is managed by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous body under the H.R.D Ministry, Government of India. The Vidyalaya is locally monitored by a committee chaired by the District Collector/District Magistrate. Our students are predominantly from rural areas and there is 33% reservation for girls. Quality modern education with a strong component of culture, promotion of National Integration through Migration of students between Hindi speaking and Non-Hindi speaking states are the salient features of Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme. The JNV at Supaul is at the forefront of educational excellence with excellent academic results as well as commendable achievements in the field of Sports and Cultural pursuits and functioning as a pace setting institution in the district. Residential component is equally well looked after. Admission to JNVs is by means of a competitive Test called JNV Selection Test (JNVST) for entry to Class-VI.
