Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Jethian, Gaya was established in 1987 and located in the foothills of Jethian Ghatti. This was the place where Lord Buddha visited, after enlightenment, and stayed for some days. There is a Buddha Mandapa near the vidyalaya, newly constructed by Japanese. “ Tapovan” is only 20 kms away from the vidyalaya, having the famous hot water kund.

Vidyalaya is 60 kms east from the District Headquarter, in Mohra Block and 20 kms west from Rajgir. Vidyalaya is spread in two campuses, of 30 acres, in total, with the division of a road in between the two campuses.
