Question 19: These are 20 girls and 45 boys 1n a class

Question 20: The length and breadth of a rectangular field arc in the ratio 3:2 the cost of covering the field at Rs. 6.50 per meter is Rs. 520. Find the dimension of the field,
Answer : Let the length =(3x)n
- The breadth =(2x)m
- Perimeter of the field = 2(3x + 2x)
- (10x)m
- According to question
- Perimeter of the field = (Total cost)/(Rate per meter)
- 520/6.5
- 80m
- Therefore, 10x = 80
- X = 80/10
- 8
- Dimension of the field will (3 *8)m and (2 * 8)m or 24m and 16m.
Question 21: A wire of length 7/8 m is broken into two piece. If the length of 1 piece is 1/4 m what is the length of other piece?
Answer : Total length of wire = 7/8 m
- Length of one piece = 1/4 m
- Length of other piece =(7/8 – 1/4)m
- (7 – 2)/8
- 5/8 m
