About AHSEC Board
The Assam Board Higher Secondary Education Council popularly known as AHSEC was established on June 1, 1984. AHSEC board was established by the state government of Assam to regulate, supervise the Higher Secondary Education in the schools of Assam. After the establishment, the board has been under the supervision of the Chairman of the Council which is appointed by the Assam state government. the Secretary of the Council is responsible for pertaining general Administration, legal matters, an affiliation of the board with schools.
The board has many responsibilities including prescribing a curriculum, syllabus, and courses for Secondary Education in school/college. To conduct the examinations of all prescribed courses annually. The board suggests the textbook according to the curriculum of each class. Importantly, the board is the conducting authority of HS First and Second Year examination and to publish the result of these examinations. The Board grants a Pass certificate to every student who passed the board examinations.

Ans. You can apply for the compartment exam for the subject(s) you missed. You’ll have to submit the Compartmental registration form online.

Ans. The practical exams of the AHSEC Board will start from February 2022 (tentative). The practical will be held offline at respective schools.
Will I get extra time in the HS exam for reading a question paper?
Students will be given 30 minutes before the exam to read the question paper only. Students will not be allowed to write during extra time.
