Assam Board: Assam has two independent board for taking care of school education in the state. Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) is the state board for the students of class 10th. On the other hand, Assam Higher Secondary Council (AHSEC) is the state board for the students for class 12th. There are two individual boards that look into the academic matter of class 10th and 12th. Assam Board has formed on January 29, 1962 with its headquarter in Guwahati, Assam. The board releases the notification for class 10th and 12th respectively on its official website.

Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA)
Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) is the state board for the students of class 10th. The SEBA board has come into the existence on March 14, 1962. SEBA conducts the secondary (class 10th) examinations at the state level. SEBA is the board that conducts the annual examination in the month of March. All those students who pass the 10th examination successfully get awarded with the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC).
Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC)
Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is the state board for the students of class 12th. AHSEC board has established on June 01, 1984. AHSEC conducts the examinations for class 12th in the month of February- March.
Assam Board Routine
The Assam board releases the entire schedule of the examinations online on its official website. For class 10th the board releases the schedule on sebaonline.org. While for class 12th the board releases the schedule on its website- ahsec.nic.in. Assam Board Admit Card
For the students of secondary and senior secondary, the Assam Board releases the admit card in the month of February. Candidates obtain the admit card online on the official website. To get it the candidates need to use their roll number. The students can also collect the Assam Board Admit Card from their respective schools.
The Admit card is the most important document that needs to be carried on every exam day. The admit card contains all the important details related to the exams as well as related to the students. Students are required to carry a physical copy of admit card to the examination hall. Without admit, cards students will not be allowed to write exams.
The admit card appears in the pdf file format. The candidates can see the various details such as the organisation’s name, conducting body name, class name, exam date, the days for the exams, timings for the exams, subject code, subject name, reporting time, exam centre code, exam centre name, other necessary information etc.
Assam Board Result
After the completion of the exams, the Assam board declares the result for both classes. For class 10 board exams, the Assam board announces the result in the month of June. For class 12, the board declares the result separately for different streams. It releases the result for Science and Commerce combined while for Arts, the separate result uses to be announced. To check the result, the candidates need to submit the roll number.
The candidates need to submit the roll number and the registration number to search for the result. The result appears in pdf format and contains the board’s name, the name of the class, subject name, respective marks, overall marks, result status, other important details.

Assam Board Revaluation/ Rechecking Process
After the declaration of the result of the main examinations, Assam Board also provides an option to the students for revaluation and rechecking. So, here we are. If any student wants to recalculate the marks obtained then he or she can go through the revaluation process. However, if any student wants to recheck the complete answer copy then he/ she can go for the rechecking process. By the month of June, the board receives the revaluation and rechecking applications and then by the month of August Assam comes up with the final result.
