Army Public School Rakhmuthi, a temple of learning was established on 07 Apr 1997. Self sufficiency has been the tradition of Indian Army and a step taken towards this direction was establishing of Army Primary School Rakhmuthi by HQ 191 Infantry Brigade under the aegis of AWES by Brig Deepak Kapoor. The opening of the school in remote and border area was not the finale of achievements but it was the beginning to face challenges and striding for developing higher. Another major achievement attained was upgrading the Army Primary School to Army School and attaining CBSE affiliation. This was successfully achieved under the supervision of the Chairman, Brig PS Chib, SM who inaugurated the Army School on 01 Apr 2005. Army School was re-designated as Army Public School on 01 July 2011.
