The Institute,a constituent unit of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be-university) was founded in 1937 by the Late Pt.Janardan Rai Nagar, an eminent educationist,social worker and freedom fighter.The temple of learning was lighted for life as an educational venture with the sole objective of imparting sound and purposeful education-Physical, intellectual,social on a sound footing of democratic,moral,ethical and spiritual values to those who were economically handicapped. The institute came into being as a Degree College named Manikya Lal Verma Shramjeevi College in 1956 as an affiliated college to the University of Rajasthan,Jaipur.It has now grown into a multi faculty Postgraduate College.It is one of the premier educational institutes of the town.presently,the college has the Faculty of Arts,Commerce and Management. The institute has catered to the growing educational needs of the society by introducing new courses from time to time so as to meet the challenges and demands of a complex competitive world.The BBM Programme, initiated from the academic session1988-99,is a step from among its various programmes to provide a stimulative and competitive environment essential for the overall growth of a student. The admission/ selection is strictly made on the merit on the basis of the performance in the Entrance Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.The Entrance Test shall be of 100 objective type multiple choice questions and cover questions on General Knowledge, English Language Proficiency, Mathematical Aptitude, Reasoning and Mental Ability.While filling in the application form, the student will have to specify his/ her choice for either General or Payment seats category. The payment seat candidates shall be exempted from the written test.
