The twentieth century, as it draws to a close, has forced people to the inescapable conclusion that the computer software is the driving force in the operation of Governments, business, education & military. Most businesses in the industrialized and the developing world could not compete and many could not survive without computer and the software. Software is gradually becoming a daily part of the lives of individuals, be it management, commerece, industry, banks or research and development organizations. Apart from the conventional areas of application, the computer technology has started invading new/untouched areas such as processing industries, bio-electronics, fashion technology, processing advertising and multimedia technology, entertainment, computer vision, natural language processing etc. In fact the area of application of the computer technology is limited only by human imagination. University Computer Centre is working to fulfil all these requirements and to produce more and more Software Professionals.
Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (P.G.D.C.A.) Certificate Courses The Course The three-year MCA program (Full time / Evening) for graduates planning to pursue career in system analysis and design, software development, computer operations and computer applications in business, industry, government and private sectors. After ssatisfactory completion of the course and passing the examinations conducted by the University of Rajasthan, the candidate is awarded the "Master of Computer Applications" degree. Admission Information The University will hold Entrance Examination for admission to First Semester of MCA (3 Year-Six Semester, Full Time and Evening) Courses being conducted by the University Computer Centre, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. The selection will be made on the basis of merit in the Entrance Examination, Academic Career and Personal Interview. Admission notice is announced through advertisement in some leading newspapers. On request, in response to the advertisement, the candidate will receive copy of the prospectus incorporating an application form. Seats and Reservations The total number of seats in MCA (Full time) course is 40, out of which 6 are reserved for SC, 5 for ST, 1 for physically handicapped and 1 seat for defence personnel or wards of deceased defence personnel. The total number of seats in MCA (Evening) course is 40, out of which 10 seats are reserved for employees of the University of Rajasthan. The reservation for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped category is as per rules. A candidate of whatever nationality or category, who has not appeared for Common Entrance Examination shall not be eligible for admission to MCA Course unless sponsored by the Government of India (ICCR). The Course The duration of PG Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) is one academic year. After ssatisfactory completion of the course and passing the examinations conducted by the University of Rajasthan, the candidate will be awarded "Post Graduate Diploma in Compter Applications".. Admission Information The University will hold Entrance Examination for admission to PG Diploma in Computer Applications (1 Year, Full time) Courses being conducted at the following institutions. Course Fee : Rs. 1420/- per Course.
