The Institute is spread over an area of over 4.5 acres.It has got a Hostel for Boys accommodating 120 students and Hostel facility for Girls accommodating 40 students. Duration 3 Years . Minimum Qualification Class XII or equivalent to 10+2 system ,Maximum age 22 years (can be relaxed for SC/ST candidates). Affiliation - The Institute is affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Pusa, New Delhi. The Diploma in Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, is awarded under the seal of the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology and the Diploma is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India and widely recognized both Nationally and Internationally.
The fee is approximately Rs. 35,000/- per annum. In other words the total fee for all the three years is approximately Rs. 1,00,000/-. In addition to this students living on campus have to pay separately for the Hostel accommodation.

"In order to cater to the needs of a fast growing hospitality industry, the Food Craft Institute, Jaipur, was upgraded to the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Jaipur, in 1989. The Institute is managed by its Board of Governors (and by an Executive Committee under it), which is headed by a Chairman. The Secretary, Tourism Department, Government of Rajasthan, is the Ex Officio Chairman. This Institute is one of 21 such institutes in India.
The Institute is ideally located in the heart of the city of Jaipur, at Bani Park, Sikar Road, only 2 Km. away both from the Railway Station and City Bus Stand. It is around 18 Km. away from the Airport.
IHM Jaipur is famous for the level of practical education that it provides it's students in modern, well equipped surroundings. It has 5 Food Production Labs covering everything from a Basic Training Kitchen, Advanced Training Kitchen, and Quantity Food Kitchen (QFK), to two modern bakeries.
It also has 5 Lecture Halls capable of handling 60 students, a Housekeeping Lab with modern laundry equipment, Audio/Visual Lab having hundreds of training video cassettes along with other audiovisual aids such as Epidiascope, Overhead Projector, Slide Projector etc., Training Guest Rooms, and a Front Office Lab.
