Established in 1935, amongst the breathtaking beauty of Rajasthan, as a tribute to the ashes of a blossoming flower, that withered before time, Smt. Ratan Shastri and Pandit Hiralal Shastri devoted their entire existence to the noble cause of educating the women of India, seeking the cause their daughter, Shantabai, always wanted to pursue. From that day on the couple never looked back, moving Banasthali from a small establishment of a few girls to an institute par excellence it is today.
