Gargi Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Nohar was established in 2003 for providing better opportunity for girls of rural and su-urban areas of Nohar. The college is affiliated to Maharaja Ganga singh University , Bikaner.The Management of the college has succeeded in fulfilling the expectations of the students and parents. In a very short duration it has become the first PG Lavel college in the area regarding girls Education. The Initial Strength of the college was 50 and at [present 518 students are enrolled in various classes in arts and commerce faculty.The aim of the college is to provide Quality teaching and character building.

Gargi Kanya Mahavidyalaya was established by Gargi Vidya Peeth Samiti with the aim of providing higher education to girls in the Nohar region . Girls after passing out of school had no opportunity for higher education. Neccesity of a separate girls college was strongly felt by people.Hence Gargi Vidya Peeth Samiti took the initiative to provide quality Education for girls and after taking clearance from State Government of Rajasthan And MDS University Ajmer started running the college in 2003 with the intake of 50 Students. We are since 2003 putting in our best efforts to provide opportunities to the girls for their overall development.
