Onkar College of Pharmacy is situated in Sangrur district of Punjab. The college is approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Government of India. The pharmacy college also is recognized by the Government of Punjab. Onkar College of Pharmacy is affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh. The educational institute imparts course in the field of pharmacy, at the undergraduate diploma level - Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma). It is a two-year full time programme offered as per the guidelines of PCI. Onkar College of Pharmacy is well-equipped with modern amenities provided for the overall development of its students.

Onkar College of Pharmacy (OCOP) was established in 2005. It is one of the pioneers Institute in Pharmacy Education in the Malwa region of Punjab. It has been started as a branch of Diploma in Pharmacy for providing the education under the State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh, Punja

The Institute owns about 5 acres of land and posses lush green sprawling lawns, sufficient number of classrooms with audio visual aids, conference room, Faculty Rooms, Director's Office , Placement office and other Facilities as generator, internet & a good cafeteria for the students including fully functional multimedia laboratories.

Onkar College of Pharmacy was established in 2005 by Gourav Bharti Shiksha Sansathan with the vision to provide quality pharmacy education to students. During the past thirteen years the college has made significant contributions towards building professional skills of pharmacy focusing on community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy & industrial pharmacy. Rapid strides have been made by the college in achieving its mission to strengthen, sustain and professionalize pharmacy knowledge through creative teaching and learning and by integrating with organizations, institutions and universities.

Onkar College of Pharmacy stands apart from other institutions on many counts. It is the only College of its kind which provides Pharmacy Education with in-depth focus, along with personality development & development of communication skills. To make the students competitive and on par with their counterparts we have well-equipped laboratories and excellent infrastructure. Pharmacy has expanded immensely and there are a lot of opportunities in Clinical Research, Nanotechnology, Drug Discovery, Molecular Biology, Phyto-chemistry and so on. An understanding of these developments and capacity to analyze & respond to such changes are some of the capabilities that are inculcated in the students.

Guest lectures by external visitors, seminars, workshops, industrial visits are conducted at regular intervals to update the knowledge of the students. Faculty members are encouraged to attend UGC/AICTE/PCI sponsored staff development programs, refresher courses & national seminars so as to update themselves with recent trends. These strategies have helped in continuous updating of our students & faculty members to reflect the dynamic changes in pharmacy education.

As we strive for excellence in what we do, the college is constantly making endeavors to scale new heights by developing synergy between diploma studies, clinical/ Hospital programs & pharmaceutical industry. Such a holistic approach would contribute towards continuous growth of the college.
