Adesh Diagnostics, an unit of Adesh Medical Centre (P) Ltd. introduced WHOLE BODY MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI) facility for the first time in Malwa region of Punjab and proved to be a boon for people of Bathinda and its surrounding region. The cost to patient for getting a MRI scan done is reduce due to close vicinity. Now patients would not have to go to distant areas such as Ludhiana (164 k.m.), Jalandhar (184 k.m.), Chandigarh (218 k.m.), Amritsar (175 k.m.) for MRI investigation and hence not bear extra expenditure and delay in diagnosis, which results in harmful consequences leading to death of patients.Unprecedented developments have taken place that has catapulted MRI to the forefront of modern medical imaging. MRI has widespread applications in routine clinical practice and provides significant and valuable information that cannot be duplicated by other imaging modalities. This is especially true in imaging all lesions in head, spine and musculoskeletal system. MRI also has the unique advantage of assessing the entire vascular tree without the need of administering exogenous contrast agent. Presently MRI is used for imaging from head to foot; and from bone marrow imaging to bone and soft tissue.

We, at Adesh Diagnostics have installed latest and modern (brand new) SIGNA Profile/ i Open Magnetic Resonance System with a Slew Rate capability of 30mT/m/msec from WIPRO GE Medical Systems to deliver all advanced applications. The astounding variety of newer and faster acquisition techniques are providing unprecedented wealth of diagnostic information for patients.
