      About Mahatma Hans Raj DAV Institute of Nursing, Jalandhar

      The Institute has been named after Mahatma Hans Raj Ji, the forefather of DAV Movement, a great visionary, an embodiment of dedication, devotion & self abnegation, who worked honorarily as founder Headmaster of the first DAV High School at Lahore. He served the society in various capacities without accepting a penny as remuneration. He was the flag runner of spreading education particularly educating the women who has been relegated to the background in the past. Mahatma Hans Raj Ji, the Pioneer of Arya Samaj and DAV Movement played a pivotal role in the upliftment of women folk in India.
