Back in 1994, persons with missinary zeal at heart decided to establish a Nursing College in Barnala to fufill the long standing needs of Malwa region of Punjab (India). Thus National College of General Nursing and Midwifery came into being. The College has been situtated in the heart of city and duly recognised by Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC) vide its letter no. PNRC/94/2511 dated 24th August 1994. Thereafter PNRC granted permanent affiliation and recognition to the Institute vide its approval no. PNRC/98/794 dated 11.06.1998 The Institution has got its own parent hospital i.e. Sidana Multi-Speciality Hospital. Sidana Hospital is serving to the health needs of the people in various specialities since 1980. The Hospital is providing OPD and Indoor services in the field of Surgery, Gynae. and Obstetrics, Paediatrics and I.C.U. The Hospital is managed by well-qualified specialists in all the fields supported by qualified and experienced staff round the clock. It has its own Computerised Laboratory, X-Ray, ECG, Ultrasound facilities, state of the art Operation Theatre, I.C.U. and Labour Room. The College is committed to provide the best education to the students to groom them to serve the society in the fields of nursing and midwifery.
