The Correspondent and Secretary, Thiru.S. Selvaganabathy, undergoing all odds and hardships started a nursery school at Sellaperumalpet, Lawspet to serve the people living in and out of the limits of the town.Due to the hard work, perseverance and dedication of the school management and teachers and due to the cooperation of parents and students, the school has fastly grown and it has blossomed into one of the best schools available in the Union Territory of Puducherry. The Management of Vivekananda Educational Institutions has recently started the teacher education programme of Bachelor of Education B.Ed.

‘Vivekanandha’ is a college with a difference, because we aim at imparting and developing moral education with good character in children. The Student Teachers of this institution get their education which enables them acquire and to disseminate their knowledge and intelligence to conquer the lower impulses, to enable the people to live an economically sound and healthy life.

Our esteemed institution established in the year 2005 bears the name of Swami Vivekanandha the great son of India. Our mission is to provide knowledge, intelligence, spirituality and leadership qualities to every student. 'Vivekananda' aims at moral education and developing good character in students. We believe that the real challenge in life is not just getting what we want, but continuing what we have.

Students of this institution get the education which enables them acquire the knowledge and intelligence to conquer the lower impulses, to understand the society around and to live a socially healthy life with others.

At Vivekanandha, we monitor global trends in teacher education with our faculty to understand how the system should perform. This is not an academic exercise. It is more than an appetite for information. Physical education finds a prime place in the curriculum since it plays a vital role.

The trainees of our college get overall formation and exposure to get along with the day to day life. Our trainees excels both in academic and non – academic performance, through meticulous training rendered by our committed team of staff members.

Our humble beginning dawned in Puducherry almost two decades ago with 500 students joining Vivekanandha Higher Secondary School in a rented building. Today this school is housed with all infrastructures sprawling over an area of 5 acres with more than 4000 students. This school is considered to be one among the top schools in Puducherry.

Identifying the hidden talent in a child is an art and grooming this talent through scientific methods makes the student achieve great results, which inspire the entire teaching fraternity of Vivekanandha groups
