This institution is approved by the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council, which are the apex professional bodies in the State and Central levels that set the standards for nurse education in India. We are also affiliated to the Pondicherry University, Puducherry.

Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College, Puducherry was established in 2007 by Sri Manakula Vinayaga Educational Trust in the field of paramedical education. Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College SMVNC is approved by the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council which are the apex professional bodies in the State and Central levels that set the standards for nurse education in India.
