Eligibility
The candidate shall have minimum of 55% of marks in aggregate or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) (not applicable to engineering and management subjects). However, in case of candidates belonging to SC and ST (and other reservation norms stipulated by the Government), the minimum marks required shall be 50%.DATA
Social Sciences are scholarly disciplines that deal with the study of human society and the relationships among individuals in the society. Social science research is often eclectic; therefore practitioners utilize methodologies that combine quantitative and qualitative research techniques. Although closely linked to humanities, the social sciences differ in the use of scientific research methodologies in relation to human society. Research in social sciences equips students with the cross-cultural awareness, social research skills, critical thinking and communication skills required to identify and analyze social concerns and issues. Overall, an in-depth study of this area, will stimulate students’ intellectual curiosity thus enabling them to broaden their perspective.
