Aims & Objectives of the Organization:, Kalyani Ray Mahavidyalaya, Rourkela, Dist-Sundargarh was established at the out skirt of Rourkela to impart teaching and to inculcate the spirit of Higher education and noble dreams among the students.The aims and objectives of the institution are mentioned below., (a) To impart high grade education to students of this institution., (b) To inculcate the spirit of human values in the students., (c) To encourage the students to take active part in various extra-curricular activities., History and Background of its establishment:, The college has been imparting education in this institution situated at the outskirt of Rourkela with the provision of Intermediate Science, Arts and Commerce course since the year 1992. Students mostly belonging to scheduled tribe contributed most to the survival of the college. In its earlier years mismanagement led to the negligence of the development of the college. In due course of time the long cherished dream of staff nd students was realized by the formation of new Governing Body in the year 2009 and with the co-operation of officials of Govt. in the Education., Deptt. DHE Odisha, Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur University, CHSE Odisha Bhubaneswar . In 1998 college has obtained permission to open +3 in Science and Arts streams and the college has remained indebted to the members of the Governing Body for the continutation of +3 Science and Arts streams. Further the college is highly obliged to Sri Nabaghan Sahoo ,ex principal, Neelashaila Mahavidyalaya for regularizing the college administration. Since the very beginning, the college has been functioning as the centre of learning for higher education in +2 and +3 level to the children mostly belonging to Scheduled Tribe ,economically backward families of the locality, its adjacent areas and border areas across the river Koel and boarder areas of Jharkhand and Birmitrapur. These students' enrollment in this college contributed to the development of the college and also to raise the name and fame of the college for their excellence in the athletic meets organized by council of Higher Secondary Education, The development of the college in every sphere was marked since 2004 after the college got Sri Nabaghan Sahoo, the retired Principal of Neelasaila Mahavidyalaya, Rourkela as Principal. The college is also indebted to RSP(SAIL) for its assistance to acquire land by this institution.At present the college has been succeeded in maintaining the academic progress and creating healthy academic atmosphere in the college in a befitting manner., Functions and Duties:, This institution possesses 16 staff members who have been striving hard for the all-round development of the college. It has been affiliated to CHSE, Odisha,and Sambalpur University and the college at present provides teaching in Science, Commerce and Arts in +2 level and Science and Arts in +3 level., The Key to success of our students is:-, (a) Healthy and congenial atmosphere of the college., (b) Regular and proper teaching method., (c) Good relationship between the teacher and the students., (d) Encouragement for better athletic performance.
