Sarbamangala Degree College, Golamunda in Kalahandidistrict is an educational institutions of Odisha established in the year 1992. Situated in the revenue district of Kalahandi at 20 degree 58 min North latitude and 83 degree 00 min East longitude, Golamunda is bounded by Nuapada district on West, state of Chhatisgarh on South-west, Bolangir district on East and the Chaunra hill range of the Ramayan epic on the South-west. This institution stands as a lamp post within a radius of 50 Kms and imparts under graduate teaching in Arts and Science. It has consistently maintained an exemplary academic atmosphere and boasts of its transparent examination systems over the last 25 years. The college has been affiliated to Sambalpur University JyotiVihar, Burla since 1992. The College started with 128 seats in Arts with Compulsory subjects : English, M.I.L (O) and History, Political Science, Economics, Oriya, Education and Sociology and from the year 1998 Science stream opened with 64 Seats with 32 each seats in PCM and CBZ in order to cater the needs of the students. Now the college has a sanctioned strength of 192 in Arts with 40 each Honours seats in Odia, Political Science, History, and 32 seats in Education, 24 seats in Economics and 16 seats each in English and Sociology. Science stream has a sanctioned strength of 160 seats with 32 each honours seats in Physics, Chemistry, 16 in Mathematics, 40 each Botany and Zoology.
