Sukinda College, Sukinda was established in the year 1979, at Sukinda garh for teaching intermediate class in Arts. In the beginning the classes were held in the building of Jaganatha high school,Sukinda.The college started functioning in it's own building on 12th March on 1980 but the effort of the local people.
The college is situated infront of the palace of Sukinda garh at distance of 26 kms form Jajpur Keonjhar Road.Rly station and 9 kms form state Express Highway,Duburi.
The college is recognized by the Govt. Of Orissa and affiliated to C.H.S.E. Orissa and Utkal University.It imparts instruction in +2 & +3 degree courses in Arts,Science and Commerce with Honours facilities in History,Political Science,Odia & Education.
The college made an humble start with a strength of 80 students but at the present the student strength of this college in about 1800 with more than 40 lecturers. This college has got affiliationform U.G.C new Delhi under 2 f & 12 B and intuition enjoys the all aided and degree college status.It is one the premier intutions of the sukinda constituency status after the formation of jajpur district this college has it's impart as located in the tribal belt and the need caters the of higher Eduction.In the locality it has got all round growth over the Years . we are the support of the people of locality Govt. of Odisha and U.G C. The College has made stupendous growth over the Year's as it is located near "Kaling Nagar" The Industrial Hub of the country.
