      About Department of Business Administration, Berhampur University, Berhampur

      The Department of Business Administration was established in the year 1986. It is a life member of Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) and founder member of Orissa Chapter of AIMS. The Department offers two years (four semesters) regular course in Business Administration. The first two semesters of the curriculum provides basic knowledge of business management including development of skills required by professional managements. These cover basic functional areas of finance, accounting, marketing, organizational behaviour, production, computer application etc.

      At the end of the First year, each student is required to undergo summer training of 4 to 8 weeks duration in any business organization of his/her own cost and risk. Further, each student shall prepare a project report under the guidance of a faculty member of the Department and present the same to the Head Coordinator of the Department before 15 days of filling up of the University Examination application forms for THIRD SEMESTER. The project report reflects the work done by the candidates in the industry. Hence certificate from the competent person from industry in which the student has undergone summer training has to be enclosed with the project report. Beside the certificate from the guidance who supervised the project.
