Government Polytechnic, Bhubaneswar, established in the year 1978, is located in the heart of the Capital City of Odisha, at a distance of 7Kms from Bhubaneswar Railway Station & 5 Kms from Bus Stand. It has been producing Technocrats of the State by imparting Diplomas both in Engineering & Non-Engineering Courses like Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engg., Electronic & Telecom Engg. ,Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Assistantship, Beauty Culture, Modern Office Management & Pharmacy.It had been designated as Women’s Polytechnic up to December-2010. Pursuant to Govt. Resolution No.IX.TTI.05/2011-232 dated 05.01.2011 & subsequently vide the Orissa Gazette Notification No. 232-IX-TTI-05/2011-I, dated 05.01.2011, it has been re-designated as Govt. Polytechnic Bhubaneswar.
