On 11 July 2022, the University of Hyderabad (UoH) and the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) entered into an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a period of five (5) years.
The University of Hyderabad and the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) will collaborate on fundamental areas of biological sciences. Faculty/ Researchers and Scientists/Visiting Faculties from both the institutions will collaborate on Animal Biotechnology or allied areas. Also on a mutually agreeable basis, NIAB scientists would actively participate in teaching Master’s programmes at UoH in specialised areas of Animal Biology & Biotechnology and offer students the chance to undertake project work in their labs. Scientists from the NIAB may be appointed as adjunct professors at the University of Hyderabad, and vice versa, in compliance with the respective institutions’ regulations.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Devesh Nigam, Registrar, UoH and Dr. G. Taru Sharma, Director, NIAB in the presence of Prof. B J Rao, Vice-Chancellor, UoH, Prof. N. Siva Kumar, Dean, School of Life Sciences and Dr. Nagendra R Hegde, Scientist H. Prof. P Jagan Mohan Rao is the Coordinator from UoH and Dr. Anand Srivastava, Scientist D is the Coordinator from NIAB.
