CLASS XI, DIPLOMA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE TESTS HELD IN 8 CITIES

ALIGARH, September 26: The entrance tests for admission to Class XI (Science)/Diploma in Engineering and Class XI (Commerce and Arts/Humanities) of the Aligarh Muslim University were held at 53 centres in 8 cities across the country.

Out of 18778 candidates, who had applied for admission to Class XI Science/Diploma in Engineering, 15415 applicants appeared in the entrance test held today from 10 am to 12 noon, while, 5506 candidates had applied for admission to the Class XI (Commerce and Arts/Humanities), for which admission test was held in the afternoon, from 3 pm to 5 pm.

These tests were conducted at Bareily, Lucknow, Patna, Srinagar, Kolkata, Meerut, Kishanganj and Aligarh strictly observing the COVID protocol.

AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor, along with Prof M Wasim Ali (Proctor), Deputy Proctor and other officials visited various entrance test centres in the University campus and at some Aligarh based schools. 

Senior faculty members were deputed as observers at various centres in Aligarh and as overall Incharges at the centres outside Aligarh.

The District Administration provided all necessary assistance in conducting the test in a smooth manner. The NSS volunteers and staff organized camps at various places to provide necessary help and guidance to the candidates and their parents.
