National Institute of Technology Mizoram was started in 2007, under the NIT Act. It is counted as an Institute of national importance by an Act of Parliament. NIT Mizoram is an autonomous university having its courses affiliated under AICTE. Currently, the university has a strength of 406 students. NIT Mizoram offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level programs to the students. Admission in NIT Mizoram is based on the valid score obtained by the student in JEE Main and GATE entrance examination. National Institute of Technology NIT, Mizoram was established as an autonomous university. The institute was formed under the NIT Act, 2007 having its courses affiliated under AICTE. Currently, the institute has a strength of 406 students and a highly qualified faculty of 47 students. The University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level programs to the students. NIT Mizoram Admissions is based on the score received in JEE Main and GATE entrance examination.
