Master of Philosophy in German (M.Phil.German) is a one-year postgraduate German Studies degree course in India. The aim of the program in German is to improve skills and increase knowledge of candidates in German Languages in general.
The German Language related to a classified alongside English and Dutch. The language course cover the areas related to German Literature such as Poetry, Society, Drama, Novels, Grammar, etc.
The course is suitable for those candidates wants to increase their knowledge for accelerating their career by exploring and acquire a critical understanding of German Studies.The course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and information about the German Languages, The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects and Principles Techniques in an academic discipline such as Comparative, Contrastive Linguistics, Style and Textual Analysis, Semiotic Analysis, Socio and Psycholinguistic, Theories of Translation, Techniques of Translation, Literary Translation, Style in Translation.
The candidate has to complete Master’s Degree like Master of Arts in German Language (MA.German), or any other Master’s Degree with relevant subjects, or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 55% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Master’s of Philosophy in German Studies program.
The master’s study requires 1 to 2 years of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course. The course is not available for part-time and under distance education mode as it's a practical based study.
After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue the higher studies and do Ph.D (Doctorate in Germanic Languages ), and specialization or research oriented work in their respective field.
After the successful completion of the Master’s study program, one can have excellent career opportunities in the Public and Private Sectors, such as educational Institutes, Colleges, & Universities.
The Master degree holder Candidates are also for jobs in German Embassy in native Country, or work as German Localization Translator, German Language Consultant, German Language Specialist, Language Instructor, Professor, Lecturer, German Language Expert, human Resource Generalist, etc.
