The program enables one to understand the various sub-systems working in society and the social relationships that exist among the members of the society. It further provides knowledge to identify the socio-economic problems of the people of the society and also suggests their remedial measures. It acquaints the students with sociological concepts, sociological thoughts of the founding fathers and research methodological parameters. The course contents would include Classical Sociological Tradition, Research Methodology, Industrial Sociology and Personnel Management, Urban Sociology and Town Planning, Rural Sociology and Community Development, Sociology of Modernization and Development, Political Sociology, Social Psychology, Social Demography, Medical Sociology, Sociology of Communication, Sociology of Science and Technology, Sociology of Globalization, Gender Sociology, Environmental Sociology, Sociology of North-East India etc.

Eligibility

A graduate degree in Social Work / Sociology with minimum 45% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.

Course Fees

80% & above - Rs.25,000 60 - 79% - Rs.30,000 45 - 59% - Rs.35,000

HOW TO APPLY :

The students can download the application form from www.kazirangauniversity.in and post the filled up application form along with a demand draft of Rs. 500/- or They can visit the University campus or any of the registered offices of the university to collect the prospectus and application forms on payment of Rs. 500/-

ADMISSION PROCESS :

Submitting the complete filled up application form. Qualifying the eligibility criteria & selection process. Qualifying candidates will be issued admission offer letters. Once your admission offer letter is issued, within 15 days the candidate has to pay the full tuition fees and other applicable fee of 1st Semester. Registration will be done only after full payment of the requisite fees.
