Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics started in 1964 along with the Physics and Chemistry departments and it was upgraded into a PG department in 2007. It produces very good results at the University level examinations and has to its credit 11 University rank holders since 2000. The well qualified faculty has published more than 30 research papers in reputed national/international journals and one teacher is an approved guide for Ph.D. programme. A program on programming in C/C++ is offered as an add-on certificate course. A good number of Alumni of the department are occupying high positions in several institutions/industries.
