Biotechnology has opened up doors for newer kind of economic activity resulting in creation of new enterprises and revitalization of old enterprises and empowered us to address critical issues of healthcare, water and food security in a significant manner. Shortage of skilled technical manpower to manage and run the biotechnology enterprises is a major concern and requires a serious effort on part of institutions imparting biotechnology education.
