With the world-class collaborations with Universities like Cornell Universities SC Johnson College of Business, Virginia Tech, Centrale Supelec, BABSON and the University of Florida and its inter-disciplinary learning through live industry projects and in-built flexibility of course choices, the education is aimed to be very practical. The students will learn to integrate the knowledge of various disciplines and inculcate much needed soft skills so that their learning come very close to real life and they become ready for the challenges of corporate life.

Mahindra University, the faculty members of the university strive towards the development of Basic and Applied Research, which caters to the industrial needs, the training, and involvement of students. ​The research areas at MU are predominantly engineering-focused. With the unique orientation towards contributing to the rise of new leaders in India, MU has teams working in the fields of media, economics, and humanities.​ Around twenty research teams are involved in the different areas of research depending on the projects they are developing.
