Smt. Premalatai Chavan Polytechnic, Karad established in 1983 has completed several years of its existence in quality technical education. The Polytechnic is is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The college offers Diploma in Computer Engineering , Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Architecture Assistantship and Diploma in Civil Engineering courses. The Polytechnic now has grand building structure as per its requirements. Laboratories and Workshops are well equipped with latest machinery and equipments, which only a few institutes can boast of., The college has separate hostels for boys and girls with various facilities. Including Collage building college has its own Campus of 1.5 Acres with main building, workshop, Gymkhana, Canteen etc. The total built up area is 6000 sq.mts.. The Institute also having its own land of 10 Acres for development of new activities at Wagheri. Extra Curricular activities related to art & culture activities like singing, painting, debating, quiz, essay writing, elocution competition celebration of anniversaries of great personalities etc. Library of polytechnic is having 8000 books which includes reference books, textbooks, journals, manuals. Book bank facility is available in our polytechnic every student get four books from book bank for entire year.
