Bharati Vidyapeeth University Dental College and Hospital, Sangli was established in 2006 on the sprawling educational complex at Wanlesswadi, Sangli, with a vision to bring out graduates & post-graduates who excel in knowledge & skills to serve the community. Sangli is famous as ‘Turmeric city’ of Maharashtra, which is situated approx. 230 km from Pune and 50 km from Kolhapur. Our college has started with the permission from the Dental Council of India & is recognized by the Dental Council of India in 2012. This institute has been awarded a prestigious ‘A+’ grade by the NAAC.

It is a functionally well planed college, with hospital building of 1,99,000 sq.feet with excellent infrastructure facilities, equipments, instruments and furniture. Ragging is strictly prohibited in campus. The college has well qualified and experienced teaching staff who is dedicated to patient care & teaching.

Presently, our institute prides itself in rendering masters in six branches of dentistry which are approved by DCI. The hospital has OPD of about 450 patients’ every day to provide clinical experience to the students. State of art facilities & staff members of the college are providing excellent education to the students and will groom them to be competent dentists.

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Dental College and Hospital Sangli and the courses offered are recognized by the Dental Council of India. The college is provided with space for its clinics and laboratories which are equipped with modern equipment and materials. It has full access to the advanced Operation Theatre Complex of around 750 bedded Bharati Hospital. Besides other equipments, ceramic fabrication systems, research microscopes and digital imaging systems like OPG & RVG are available. Faculty and Student are benefitted with huge library with over 4684 books along with national (30) and international journals (54). Students are given training in basic medical and dental sciences, scientific literature, research and appraisal research methodology, Biostatistics, evidence-based methods, computer applications, presentation skills and professional ethics. Training is also provided in multispecialty and interdisciplinary management of patients. Students are encouraged to attend conferences and guided to deliver scientific presentations. Also encouraged to take research projects eg. ICMR student projects. A highly interactive learning environment has been a unique feature of our training programme.
