      About UWC Mahindra College, Pune

      UWC Mahindra College bears the name of the two individuals who generously bought the land and buildings that make up our College- the late Mr. Harish Mahindra and the Chairperson of our Board of Directors- Mr. Keshub Mahindra of the Mahindra & Mahindra Group. Their vision was to build a school that would bring students from around the world together to live and learn in India. Permission to build and open the College was granted by the Indian Government’s Cabinet Committee on political affairs in 1993, with construction beginning two years later with Dr. David Wilkinson as the founding Head of College.
